The Eclipse in Our Lives

The solar eclipse will cover the area where I live later today and with it, will have gradual darkness, followed by two and a half minutes of total blackout, then the light will reappear

and gradually grow brighter.

This reminded me that there are similar times in our life, when our situation and world gradually grows darkness and then we are thrust into the storm, wondering if we will ever weather these life situations.   Yet, no matter how bad things become, we have the promise that they will not stay this way.  Eventually, light will begin to slowly reappear and our lives will gradually grow brighter.  Before we know it we find ourselves on the other

side of the storm.

Regardless of what we are facing, or how dark and bleak our circumstances may seem, we can hold on to the promises found in Psalm 46:1, “God is our shelter and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.”
