Book Review: True to You
True to You by Becky Wade is a book you will not want to put down once you started.
The story is about Nora Bradford, a genealogist {which is what drew me to the story} who owns a historical village in Washington State. Nora meets former Navy SEAL, John Lawson,
who is searching for his birth parents. He needs his medical history for an inherited condition.
Nora and John are total opposites, but they form a friendship and click while working to uncover John’s ancestry.
The fun is just starting as answers are found, mysteries are unraveled, the truth is exposed and decisions have to be made about the future.
Wade has well-rounded characters, whom you feel like are friends by the end of the book. The details of her story are well researched and she includes Christian characters, without shoving God down the reader’s throat. She weaves the character’s relationship with God into the story in a very realistic manner.
This was the first book I’ve read about Becky Wade, but it won’t be the last. This is clearly the first book in A Bradford Sisters Romance. I’m excited to see what happens with Nora and John, as well as with Nora’s sisters Willow and Britt in upcoming books in the series. It will be like visiting with old friends once again and there are still plenty to be explored and revealed in the upcoming books.
I found that I could not put this book down and read it within less than three days. I was reading the book while waiting for an appointment and had two people ask me if the book was good. One person said, “the cover is so bright and inviting. I will have to check it out.” I hope she will check it out and I hope you will also.
I highly recommend True to You to anyone that enjoys Christian romance or has a great love for history.
Do you find the cover bright and inviting?
