Understanding Our Season of Life
Have you ever wondered why I am in this season of life? When is it going to end and move on?
I think we all have at some point in time, especially when we are going through a difficult time or discontentment is reigning in our hearts.
There are often seasons we don’t understand why we have to go through or wonder if they will ever end.
Waiting for the Lord to open doors which seem shut or move mountains in our paths isn’t easy. Sometimes we begin to question if He has forgotten us or even cares.
Only the Lord can see the big picture and only He knows the appropriate timing. Even when we don’t like it or understand, we can trust He knows best and is in control.
Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes, “For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven.” {Ecclesiastes 3:1}
What season are you in? What are you waiting for the Lord to accomplish?
Are you in a season of:
- A time to be born or a time to die?
- A time to plant or a time to pluck up that which is planted?
- A time to kill or a time to heal?
- A time to break down or a time to build up?
- A time to weep or a time to laugh?
- A time to mourn or a time to dance?
- A time to cast away stones or a time to gather stones together?
- A time to embrace or a time to refrain from embracing?
- A time to seek or a time to lose?
- A time to keep or a time to cast away?
- A time to rend or a time to sew?
- A time to keep silent or a time to speak?
- A time to love or a time for hate?
- A time for war or a time for peace?
What season are you in right now?
