The Twelve Months of Christmas
by Barbara Sybil

With Christmas being celebrated in December, I am reminded of Christ’s birth, and that He

Jesus was born to save the world

Jesus was born to save the world

was born to save the world.

When they start to decorate and get ready for Christmas in November, I am reminded of how thankful I am for all Christ has done for me.

If they were to start decorating for Christmas in October I am reminded that evil is real and ever present, but do not need to fear for Christ overcame the enemy.

If they were to start decorating for Christmas in September I would be reminded that I have been commissioned to preach the gospel and my labor will not be in vain.

If they were to start decorating for Christmas in August I am reminded that as school is

Never stop spending time in God's word

Never stop spending time in God’s word

about to begin I am to never stop learning in my knowledge of God’s word.

If they were to start decorating for Christmas in July, I would be reminded that I am free in Christ and no longer a slave to sin.

If they were to start decorating for Christmas in June, I would be reminded that I have an earthly father, but I also know God as my heavenly Aba Father.

If they were to start decorating for Christmas in May, I would be reminded that as moms are to nurture us physically, Christ nurtures us spiritually.

If they were to start decorating for Christmas in April, I would be reminded that Christ was

Christ nurtures us spiritually

Christ nurtures us spiritually

beaten, crucified and died on a cross then was resurrected on the third day, not just for me, but also for you.

If they were to start decorating for Christmas in March, I would be reminded that I do not need luck, but rely upon my faith in Christ.

If they were to start decorating for Christmas in February, I would be reminded that there is no love greater than giving one’s life for another as Christ did on the cross.

If they were to start decorating for Christmas in January, I would be reminded that when I received Christ as my Savior my old self passed away and I became new and that His Mercy and Compassion are new every day.

that He was born to save the world

He was born to save the world
