Time to Rest

Resting is not easy for me.  There are so many things that have to be done, along with what I want to do, that there is usually not enough hours in the day.

Where do you go when you are weary?

It also doesn’t help that I have a job in which I go non-stop.  Don’t get me wrong.  I love my job but there are times when the long days take their toll.

I hear God whispering at times “stop and rest”.

Often, instead of obeying I want to argue with Him.  “I’ve got {fill in the blank}.”

God does what we have going on and He knows what the future holds.  He knows when we need to rest and when we need to work.   After all, “there is a time for all seasons.”  There is a time to work and a time to rest.  {Ecclesiastes 3}

Jesus said, “Come to me all you who are weary and I will give you rest.”   {Matthew 11:28}
