Struggling to Forgive Others

When we’ve been hurt, it is easy to struggle with forgiving those that hurt us.

However, refusing to forgive, can be detrimental to our health.

Forgiveness isn’t easy, but it’s what God commands of us

Studies show that not forgiving can lead to:

  • High blood pressure
  • Heart issues
  • Anger
  • Increased depression
  • Chronic stress
  • Mental illness

Some ways in which we can work through our emotions towards forgiveness are:

  • Talk our feelings out {therapy, spouse, trusted friend, or imagine talking to that person}
  • Journal
  • Draw
  • Exercise/Walk
  • Pray

Can you forgive?

Jesus said, ““Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven.”  {Luke 6:37}

How have you worked through the pain to forgive others?
