Struggling to Forgive Others
When we’ve been hurt, it is easy to struggle with forgiving those that hurt us.
However, refusing to forgive, can be detrimental to our health.
Studies show that not forgiving can lead to:
- High blood pressure
- Heart issues
- Anger
- Increased depression
- Chronic stress
- Mental illness
Some ways in which we can work through our emotions towards forgiveness are:
- Talk our feelings out {therapy, spouse, trusted friend, or imagine talking to that person}
- Journal
- Draw
- Exercise/Walk
- Pray
Jesus said, ““Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven.” {Luke 6:37}
