We often Lash Out at Those We Love Most

When we are hurting the person we often lash out to the most is those that are closest to us.

With those people, we feel free to be ourselves and show our hurt.

But, it is often easy to unintentionally hurt that person in the process of our own pain.

Sometimes we do not even see the pain we are causing others due to our own pain.

Psalm 73:26 says, “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

When the pain becomes too great and the urge comes to lash out at others, take the time to seek God.  Allow the anger of the moment to pass and then sit and calmly discuss the feelings.

When opening the door for discussion, the experts teach to use “I” statements such as “I feel…” instead of “You” statements, such as “You did.”

Who do you lash out at the most when you are hurting?
