Rebel to Redeemed: I’m Not Perfect, but thankful to be Redeemed

Over the last few months I’ve shared my story of going from Rebel to Redeemed.  Today we finish up that series.

I’ve shared my struggles, my heartache and pains, as well as my breakthroughs, triumphs and joys.Thankful

I’m far from perfect and God knows this.  However, He loves me just the way I am.  He loved me when I was rebellious and He loved me enough to break me.  He loved me when I was broken and He loved me as I began to heal.

None of us are perfect, nor will we be until we step into glory.  Only one perfect person ever walked this earth and that was God’s only son, Jesus Christ.

Lessons are difficult and painful to learn at times.  I’ve also discovered that we keep re-learning lessons until we grasp them.  But, God does this to help us grow into the woman {or if you’re a man—the man}, He wants us to become.

I’m thankful that God loved me enough to never give up on me.  I’m thankful that He loved me enough to go to the cross and endure the agony and defeat of death for my sins.  However, I’m also thankful that on the third day He arose from the grave.

thankful2I’m thankful that God loved me enough to forgive my sins and offer His redemption when I asked Him.  I’m thankful that He never gave up on me when I wandered far and wide from His will.  I’m thankful for His grave and mercy in my life.

I’m also thankful that He is a loving God that hears my prayers and answers them.  I’m thankful that He knows best and doesn’t always answer my prayers when it’s not right for me.

Most of all I’m thankful to know that I’m never alone because He is always with me through the good and bad.  He knows me better than I know myself.

So, no I’m not perfect.  I still have issues and struggles that I have to deal with.  However, through the blood on the cross I am redeemed and FOREVER a child of the LIVING God.

For that—I’m THANKFUL!!!
