Live in Harmony with One Another
In a previous lifetime, I had a director who refused meetings with her staff or to discuss
any new ideas. Every decision seemed to be based on how it made her look. Request were always either ignored or refused.
Needless to say this was not a very harmonious time in my life.
I’m very thankful for a boss that I can have an open dialogue and discussion with today.
When things run in harmony and people get along with one another, even if they disagree, life seems to run much smoother.
Paul wrote in Romans 12:16, “Be of the same mind one toward another. Set not your mind
on high things, but condescend to things that are lowly. Be not wise in your own conceits.”
God wants us to live in harmony. This means that we do not look down on others or condescend them the way my former employer chose to. Rather, we should humble ourselves and swallow our pride and work together.
Living in harmony is part of Sharing His Kind of Love.
No, we’re not going to always agree however we can agree to disagree. Instead of cutting one another down we can discuss issues in a more cohesive man.
We shouldn’t do things because of the way it makes us look but because it is the right thing to do.
How do you live in harmony with others?
