Here’s the back cover blurb:

Enoch Valentine has given up finding peace for his past mistakes. He throws everything he has into being the new part-time deputy in Burrton Springs, Kansas while maintaining the foreman position at a local horse ranch. But when trouble stirs on the ranch, he questions whether he’s the right man for either job.

Peace has been elusive for most of Gertrude Miller’s life, especially under the oppressiveness of an overbearing mother. She takes matters into her own hands and sends for a potential husband, while also opening her own dress shop. Gertrude hopes to build a future where she’ll find peace and happiness.

Will either of them ever be able to find peace?

Share an interesting tidbit about your story.

While it wasn’t done very often, I start my story with a fun twist where my heroine sends for a mail-order husband. But that’s just a small part of the book. 😊

What is your greatest struggle as a writer?

Marketing and editing. I’d rather be writing.

What are you working on now?

I completed the final book in my Burrton Springs Brides Series, Convincing Lou, which is currently at my publisher. Now I’m working on a prodigal series set in Shippensburg, PA in the 19th century.

Who were some of your favorite authors as a child? Why?

My favorite author was Laura Ingalls Wilder. I was captivated by the time period. It’s what influenced me to write books set in the 19th Century.

Do you enjoy research? Why or why not?

I love to research. It’s so easy for me to get side tracked and before I know it, time has flown by and I haven’t gotten in any writing time.

How do you incorporate faith into your writing life? Stories?

My faith is a part of who I am, so it organically flows into my writing as well. My characters struggle with their faith, the same way I do at times, but they’re always striving to grow and learn. I am too. 😊
