When all you can do is call on God

I have a dream of becoming a published author one day.  I have several books completed, others in the works and numerous ideas for even more.  I love to write and cannot seem to stop at times.

But, I also have a problem.  My current situation does not allow me the ability to

My dream…

financially pursue this dream the way many writers are able.  That includes attending writers conferences, working with mentors, joining some writers groups, etc.

But, I know that I have to do what I am capable of doing.  That includes continuing to learn about the craft, to grow my skills and to seek help from those writing friends who are willing to mentor me.

There are times when the dream seems bigger than our resources.  This can be frustrating and be discouraging at times.

The only solution I have is to call on God.  His resources are much broader than mine and they never end.

What mysteries has God worked in your life?

As we know, “God works in mysterious ways”.

Only God knows what the future holds and how He will open doors, but I choose to trust and believe when the time is right God will do just that.  He will open the doors and show me the path He has set for me.

Jesus said in Matthew 7:7, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.”

Your dream may not be as an author, but maybe it is to have a family, your own business, to travel, to learn a new hobby, to turn your hobby into a career, etc.

But, there are limits on your finances, time, etc.

The Lord holds the key in the journey

I don’t know what the future holds for you, but I do know there is one person that knows.  Call on the Lord, seek his will and ask Him how to open the doors He would have opened for you.

The one thing I have learned is often our journey is never anything like the one we planned or would have laid out for ourselves.

How has God worked in your life?
