Bloom Where You’re Planted
I don’t know about you, but there are times when I wonder what God is up to and why He has me where I am. There are days when I feel him whispering on my heart to move on, but that is His will for my life He has not shown me the path. So, for the time being I have to stay and wait and trust right where I am.
There are days when waiting and trusting are not easy and I want to push against Him and argue with the Father. But I’m reminded He knows best and is in control. After all, His timing is not our timing.
So, while I wait, I continue to give my all and to serve the Lord right where I am.
Several weeks ago, in a sermon the minister reminded us we are to bloom where we’re planted.
I was reminded that in this moment and time, the Lord has me where I am and He has a reason for me being here. So, I have a choice. Am I going to be ungrateful and dishonor Him or am I going to serve those He has put before me and bloom where I am planted?
The apostle Paul wrote “Each person should remain in the situation they were in when God called them.” {1 Corinthians 7:20, 24}
I don’t know the Lord’s plan and if He plans to move me or when He plans to move me, but while I am where I am, I can continue to serve Him and bloom where I am planted.
I’ve seen how I’ve bloomed professionally in my current position and I have plans for more growth.
However, more importantly I never know the seeds I am sowing where I am planted. Three ways in which I am sowing seeds are:
- Praying for the hurting and those in need
- Sharing my faith when the opportunity arises
- Showing God’s love to others
How do you bloom where you are planted?
