Book Review: Balancing It All by Candace Cameron Bure
Growing up we watched Full House on a regular basis. Occasionally, I’ll even catch it on re-runs now.
I grew up with Candace Cameron and understood the struggles she portrayed on the hit comedy.
I was intrigued by what she had to say about balancing it all. After all as a wife, mother and working actress she has a lot to balance.
In her book Balancing it All: My Story of Juggling Priorities and Purpose, Candace shares stories from her life to share how she’s kept things balanced. This hasn’t always been easy with so many commitments. She admits that she’s not always been able to maintain the balance she needs in her life. She shares her struggles, failures, and regrets in addition to her successes, achievements and victories.
She openly shares her faith and faith story, but she also shares that she didn’t always have a close walk with the Lord. She admits to not understanding what a real relationship with Jesus is about. Then she shares how she came to this realization and learned to submit to God.
Candace shares how faith changed her family, both when she was a child and now as a wife and mother.
Whether you want to learn how to balance the priorities of life, deepen a relationship with Christ or grew up with Candace Cameron when you were a child and want to learn more about her, then I recommend this book. I promise that by the time you are finished you will have been given food for thought, real life examples and scripture passages to back up the principles and lessons provided.
