70 Years from Now
Working in skilled nursing I see a lot of different types of relationships. My favorites are those couples that have been together for 50, 60, or even 70+ years.
But even with each of these couples there are a lot of differences in the relationships.
I’ve seen couples that can’t stand to be together.
Then I see couples that can’t get enough of one another.
For the latter example of these couples, just sitting quietly together while holding one another’s hand makes them happy.
I realize that even if I met someone today, we would not have 70 years together {unless we both lived to be almost 120 years old and I don’t plan on that}. However, these couples have taught me a lesson.
When I find the man that is right for me, I want a man that I will be happy sitting quietly with 70 years from now and holding one another’s hand.
Peter tells us in 1 Peter 4:8, “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”
Do you want to sit quietly with your spouse 70 years from now?
