Book Review: The Barrister and the Letter of Marque by Todd M. Johnson

The Barrister and the Letter of Marque takes you on a journey through 1818 London as solicitor William Snopes takes on the case of Lady Jameson. The lady invested in a ship, which was granted a rare letter from the king’s regent. However, the letter vanishes and the crew is arrested for piracy. As Snopes delves deeper he embarks on a dangerous forces against forces determined to prevail against his client.

This is a masterfully told story, unlike many from the regent era. However, Todd Johnson keeps you spellbound and turning pages wanting to know what happens next.
