When We Are Blessed
While I am very outgoing when I need to be, I am naturally an introvert, especially in new situations or large groups. I usually take my sweet time to acclimate myself to these new circumstances.
This has been very true for me in finding a new church family and getting involved.
I’ve been doing better about attending my new church on a regular basis, but I still need to push myself to become more involved and find a small group.
The other week, I was very blessed when a lady I know from work, came to sit with me during the worship service. Then the people in front of me began a conversation.
For the first time, I really felt welcome there, although I’d been a member there for over a year.
Paul wrote “Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” {Romans 15:7}
When others blessed me, my confidence was raised and I felt love. This allowed me to begin to want to step out of my comfort zone. By being blessed by others, I longed to return the favor and be a blessing in return.
When was the last time you blessed someone?
