His Kind of Love: Spur one another on

I have been blessed to have mentors that have encouraged me and pushed me out of my comfort zone. This hasn’t been because they didn’t love me, but for the opposite reason.

Do you encourage one another?

Do you encourage one another?

They did love me and wanted to help me to grow and expand my horizons.

Now, I have the blessing to be a mentor to the younger generation and see myself pushing and encouraging them to grow.

Hebrews 10:24 says, “Spur one another on towards love and good deeds.”

The way we encourage will be different based on the individual and their needs. However, we all need love and encouragement. We all need to be pushed in a manner that encourages our growth.

The Message version shows the following for this passage, “So let’s do it—full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out. Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching.”
