Planning Ahead

So, I have to admit that I have been thinking about this Christmas since last Christmas.

I know that sounds crazy, but let me explain.

We just doubled in size at work.  Part of my responsibility was to come up with the

additional finances to not only provide extra Christmas presents for all of our residents, but also to provide additional Christmas trees and decorations for the new addition.

I knew that if I did not begin planning and implementing my new strategy, then I would never be able to carry out the project successfully.

The strategy has been successful for the most part, but not without stress, backlash, and disappointments at times.

I committed these plans to God and asked Him to help me.  When I grew frustrated, disappointed and aggravated, I reminded myself of why I was doing this.  This wasn’t for me, but for my residents.

Do you commit all you do to the Lord?

However, the Lord provided and came through with flying colors.  He provided above and beyond my wildest dreams.

King Solomon said in Proverbs 16:3 that we should “Commit to the Lord whatever we do, and He will establish your plans.”

Whatever, we are doing, we should commit to the Lord and ask for his assistance.

Do you commit to the Lord when you plan ahead?
