Healing Takes Time
When we’re hurting, it feels as if we’ll never be happy again.
Sometimes we may hear someone laugh and wonder how they can have the gaul to laugh.
Once we do finally laugh again, we wonder where that came from. We may even feel
guilty the first couple of times we laugh.
Healing takes time and is a process.
Our human emotions don’t move through the phases of grief one right after another. Instead, they jump back and forth between denial, depression, anger, bargaining, and acceptance.
There is no set time frame on how long it takes to heal. Every person and every situation is different.
Remember what Solomon said in Ecclesiastes, “For everything there is a season”.
Regardless of where you are in the grief process, this too shall pass. Healing takes time, but eventually you will reach the other side of the process. Then you too will laugh again.
What do you do when the sun will not shine through in your life?
