Guest Post: Jodie Wolfe
It’s my pleasure to welcome Jodie Wolfe today as she shares about her new release. This sounds like a great story to check out and I’ve enjoyed learning more about Jodie’s writing process and books.
Tell us about your new release.
Here’s what the back cover blurb for Convincing Lou says:
How hard can it be to round up one delinquent groom?
Ellie Lou Williams will do just about anything to save her ranch, even going undercover as a man to round up a fella who is late to his own wedding. The reward will more than cover the money she owes the bank and solve all her problems.
Caleb Martin agrees to one final job as a deputy US Marshal before he starts his new life away from the trail and tracking criminals. What he isn’t counting on is a mysterious bounty hunter who’s determined to undermine his every step.
Will one reach their goal first? Or will they learn to lean on God and work together?
What inspired your novel?
Convincing Lou is the final book (4) of my Burrton Springs Brides Series. My heroine, Ellie Lou, has been a periphery character from the very beginning. I figured she finally deserved her own happily-ever-after.
What are you working on now?
I’ve started a completely new series about prodigals – Come Home. By the time your readers see this post, I will have hopefully finished writing the rough draft of book one – Abigail’s Pursuit. It’s set during the backdrop of the U.S. Civil War. This is my first time writing a book during this time period, so I’ve been researching a bit more than normal.
Do you enjoy working on multiple projects at once or one book at a time? Why or why not?
The older I’m getting; I find it much more difficult to concentrate on more than one thing at a time when it comes to writing. I’ve been having difficulty this past month or so with balancing working on marketing for this book release while writing a different book. It’s been quite challenging.
Do you enjoy research? Why or why not?
I love doing research. So much so, that I can often get caught up in it and spend more time on that than writing. 🙂
How do you incorporate faith into your writing life? Stories?
Faith is such an integral part of my life that it naturally spills over into everything I do, including writing. My hope is to convey faith challenges my characters go through, but also how they learn to overcome too. They have ups and downs in their spiritual walk the same way I do.
