Book Review: Romancing the South by Yvonne Lehman

Romancing the South contains two wonderful books by Yvonne Lehman.  After Yvonne’s passing, her daughter, Lori Marett, and Eva Marie Everson labored to update these two stories while maintaining the heart of the story and the Southern Charm.

In Somewhere a Rainbow Brooke faces the challenge of rebuilding her life by renting a cottage on Hilton Head Island. There she meets carpenter Jake Randolph and together they work through their broken past.

In Smoky Mountain Sunrise, Ramona agrees to help Andre Doudet for the summer, but soon finds herself caught in a web of deceit. She soon has some decisions to make.

Both stories are heartwarming with unpredictable turns that reminds leaves the reader with a warm feeling and reminder that redemption is possible. Once I started, I couldn’t put the book down until it was finished.  It was a pleasure to read this story and remember Yvonne Lehman and the legacy she left for so many.
