Pushed Out of our Comfort Zone

I know of someone who had been in his job for over a decade.  He was happy where he was and with what he was doing.  Then everything began to turn against him, he lost his job and went through a very difficult time. After a couple of months, the Lord opened the doors for a different opportunity and position within his profession.

I was reminded of how the Lord pushes us out of our comfort zone in order to move us to where He wants us at times.

I don’t like change and it is often easy to get into my own routine and not want to be pushed towards the next step or goal. It is easy to grow content and not want to change.  This is when the Lord has to mix things up to push us towards where He wants us next and towards what He would have us to do next.

We each have a plan for our lives and the Lord will do what is necessary to get us to that point.

 “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns” (Philippians 1:6).
