Book Review: Courageous Women of the Bible

Do you ever struggle with being courageous?  I can’t tell you how many times I have endeavored to be courageous. We all need reminders of what being courageous means and we can stand strong when we need to.

Latan Roland Murphy shares stories of courageous women in her book Courageous Women of the Bible.

These women of the Bible can teach us lessons today in how to stand and act with courage when we need to.  Whether we are as Deborah, leading a group of people; Jael, seizing an opportunity; Bathsheba who was caught in sin; Mary to have a baby; or Jochebed to surrender her children to God; we can learn from each of these women how to walk the path before us.

Murphy delves deep into the lives, struggles and courageous moments of each of these women.  She writes in a conversational tone in which we journey together through the lives and moments of strength of these Biblical characters.

Whether you want to discover more about the women of the Bible or how to delve into your own strength to become more courageous, I recommend this book.
