Showing Kindness
My heart broke for my boss. She’d worked hard to plan a very special gathering. Then only half of those that promised to come actually showed up.
She’d worked for days planning, shopping and preparing everything for the gathering. I
could see the pain and disappointment on her face.
Too often people RSVP for something and then think it’s okay to not show without letting anyone know. I can understand when there is an emergency, but we live in a thankless society.
If we want others to show kindness to us, then we need to show kindness to others.
A little bit of kindness can go a long ways
Showing kindness includes:
- Doing what you promised
- Being honest about your intentions
- Going the extra mile
- Lending a helping hand
- Provide a listening ear
- Having a compassionate heart
2 Samuel 2:6 says, “May the LORD now show you kindness and faithfulness, and I too will show you the same favor because you have done this.”
