Praying through the Struggle

Recently, a friend encouraged me to write prayers for thirty days to the Lord.  I decided to not only use this for my writing but also for my weight loss.  Each short prayer was accompanied with a scripture verse.  As each prayer is answered there is a place to make note of the answer and accomplishment.

Do you write your prayers?

While doing this I discovered by writing a daily prayer, I noticed more accomplishments than before.  Also, I felt closer to the Lord and was inviting him into my journey with me.  This process helped me to surrender another portion of my life to the Lord and draw closer to Him and His will for my life, while spending time in His word and presence.

Life got in the way, and I haven’t completed the thirty days yet.  However, I have begun writing my prayers again.

The Lord wants to be part of every part of our lives, not just the big things, but the daily struggles as well.  He was a relationship with us and to be invited along on the journey.

King David constantly invited the Lord into his life.  He wrote “The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid?”
{Psalm 27:1}

What struggle have you invited the Lord to accompany you on in your life?
