Names of God: Almighty God

Almighty God is written in the Hebrew Bible as El Shaddai

Almighty means “having complete power or omnipotent”

Meaning is believed to be “God, the All-Powerful One” or “The Mighty One of Jacob”

“by the God of your father who will help you, by the Almighty who will bless you with blessings of heaven above,blessings of the deep that crouches beneath, blessings of the breasts and of the womb.”   Genesis 49:25

“And God said to Moses, “I am the Lord. I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but by my name the Lord I did not make myself known to them.”  Exodus 6:3

“”I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the LORD God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”   Revelation 1:8
