Book Review: Love Letters by Debbie Macomber

Once again Debbie Macomber has brought us a moving story with her newest book Love Letters.

Love Letters Love Letters is part of her Rose Harbor series, which are set in Cedar Cove.

Love Letters continues the story of Jo Marie Rose and her handyman, Mark Taylor.   Jo Marie is frustrated by how little she knows about Mark’s life and sets out to unravel the mystery.  These suspicions only add tension to her budding friendship with Mark Taylor.

A couple, Maggie and Roy Porter, have arrived at the end to bring the romance back to their relationship.   Both have made mistakes, and the couple needs to work through these in order to be able to move forward.  However, there are a number of twists and turns in the road they must work through.

Ellie, is a young girl, going against her mother’s wishes to meet Tom, a young man she’s only known online.  However, Tom has a surprise in store for her she never expected.

In all three stories, secrets are revealed that have the potential to either destroy relationship or bring them together.  Past mistakes must be faced and addressed in each case.  Then there are the love letters written in each incident, that has the potential to bring healing and answers.  The questions is will they?

Once again Debbie Macomber kept me waiting to see if things would be resolved and how.  She does a beautiful job of weaving her stories together and leaving you hanging at just the right spot.

Once again she has another hit on her hands.  I love that we also get to catch up with many of our old friends in Cedar Cove throughout the book.

The only negative thing I have to say, is that I have to wait another year to discover what happens next.  She does a wonderful job of keeping you waiting for the next installment to discover what’s going to happen next.

If you love Debbie Macomber or her Cedar Cove series, you will love this book.

*You can catch her Cedar Cover TV Series on Hallmark on Saturday evenings.
