Letting Go and Moving On

One of the most challenging issues I faced when I left my abusive relationship was to let go and move on.
My heart and mind remained in the past, even though I knew getting out of the relationship was what was best for me.
Letting go is not easy and I had to seek counseling to move forward.
However, this allowed me to discover how to be honest with myself and express my thoughts and feelings.
One method I used to get my feelings out was to journal.
By learning to let go, I opened my heart and mind up to the future and all of the wonderful things waiting for me.
Paul wrote “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” {Ephesians 4:31-32}
Have you allowed yourself to let go and move on?
