God Has a Plan
I recently overheard a conversation in which the person said, “I’m ready to die.
I want to see Jesus.”
My heart broke for this individual, but as I listened I discovered the individual was in so much physical pain that she was willing herself to give up.
Thankfully, she was talking with a minister who knew how to guide the conversation.
The minister said, “since you’re still here don’t you think God still has a purpose for you?”.
This lead the individual and me to both stop and think about that.
Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
God has a purpose for each of us. There is a reason why we were put here on earth. If we will seek God’s will and allow him to direct us, he has only the best in store for us.
So while we are here on earth, let us serve the Lord. Even those who are experiencing pain and illness, have a reason for what they are going through. This is often hard on us to understand and we don’t always know why.
However, we do know from Job 14:5, “Man’s days are determined; you (God) have decreed the number of his months and have set limits he cannot exceed”. In Psalm 139:16, we are told, “All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”
God knows how many days we have on the earth and what the plans are for us while we are here.
How are you fulfilling God’s plan?
