Failure to Plan, Leads to Failure to Thrive

After a month of going non-stop, I finally crashed for a weekend.  However, while crashing I also forgot to plan.  You see, usually over the weekend I plan and prepare my food for the coming week.  I know I won’t have the time or energy to do cook during the week.

                On the week after I crashed, I discovered I had no plan for my food prep.  This led to eating out.  I did a descent job about half the time, but the other half of the time I discovered I was tired, cranky and overate.

                I was reminded when I failed to plan, I failed to thrive.

                King Solomon was the wisest of men and wrote, “Careful planning puts you ahead in the long run; hurry and scurry puts you further behind.”  {Proverbs 21:5}

          I am reminded, even when I am tired or busy, there are still aspects of life in which I need to plan.

          Do you plan ahead?
