Rebel to Redeemed: Discovering Who I Am

For the first time in years, I began to discover that my hopes and dreams were still there and they were still the same that they had been for years.

It takes work and honesty to discover who you truly are

It takes work and honesty to discover who you truly are

I read a lot of books on a variety of “self-help” topics, worked with my counselors and took online courses.  Working through the exercises through these various resources I began to pull back more layers and discover who I was, what I wanted in life, why I acted and reacted the way I did and why I thought the way I did.

I realized there is nothing wrong with any of this.  I am the person God made and designed me to be.

The lies I’d been fed by Sean and Duncan over the years began to dissipate.  I began to see them for what they really were—LIES!

As I was healing, I was also discovering a lot about myself.  I was also discovering a LOT about God.

I began growing closer to him by spending time in his word, regular church attendance and constant prayer.

I realized how much he loved me and how much I needed to learn to love myself.  However, God has always proved himself faithful and brought me through numerous valleys.

These valleys have been extremely painful, but through everything I’ve learned so much about who God is and in the process who I am.  I was discovering who I am.
