Wellness Tuesday: Climbing Hills Strengthens Legs
We have a lot of hills around the house.
The other day I was putting lotion on my legs and felt how muscular my calves and thighs felt.
I realized that this was due to walking the hills so much.
Walking the hills are not always fun, especially the really steep hills. However, Mama taught me that if I walk across the hill cattycorner, it is much easier to climb than just going straight up. I’ve discovered this to be true. Some hills are so steep or large, that I have to cut across three or four times.
However, by doing this I’m building muscle in my legs and strengthening them.
This is a great way to begin strength training.
