Clearing the Air with our loved ones

After two decades of struggling and bad decisions, healing and transforming my life has taken almost a decade.  I’m far from perfect and still have many areas in which I am continuing to work and improve.

Healing takes time and means pulling back the layers

However, it has only been recently that conversation has began to open up between my loved ones and myself about what happened then.

For the first time we are able to discuss the situation without be becoming defensive or casting blame.  I’ve been able to share what I was thinking and feeling, why I made some of the choices I made and even accept responsibility for my loved ones.

In the process of clearing the air, it has also brought healing to our relationships.

Jeremiah 33:6 says, “Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.”

Sometimes we are not sure when or how to begin a conversation, but we can seek the Lord and ask for him to provide the words and opportunity needed to clear the air.

Is there someone you need to have such a conversation with?
