How would you act if you worked for Jesus

Recently, while reading, the question appeared “how would you act if you worked for Jesus.”

I gave this great thought.  Then I realized, I do work for Jesus.

No, I don’t work for a church.

However, I realized that regardless of what I do, I am working for Jesus.  I am His vessel.

Working in the service industry, I constantly come into contact with people throughout my day.

My prayer every morning is “Lord, let me be a blessing to whoever I come into contact with today.”

Regardless of what our job or calling is, we can be a blessing to others each day.

God calls us to be His hands and feet.  He calls us to minister to others needs.

So, how do we minister to others:

Jesus served others…he washed the disciples feet

  • Provide a listening ear
  • Provide a friendly smile
  • Provide a hug {if needed and appropriate}
  • Provide for their needs {ex. If hungry, then feed them; etc.}

So, as you can see there are numerous ways in which we can work for Jesus and be a vessel for Him.

Romans 12:13 tells us “When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality.”

We never know when we may be the one that is on the receiving end of needing that hospitality.

Are you willing to work for Jesus?
