We All Have a Story to Tell
Recently I was with a group of friends and acquaintances and as I looked around the room I thought about how God had been faithful to so many of them.
There were others there whom I did not know their story, but many of whom knew a part of their story.
We all have a story to tell
Some of these stories included:
- Loss of a child
- Overcoming health issues
- Stories of Betrayal
- Divorce
- Media misrepresentation
- Murder of a loved one
- Learning to walk again after a car accident
- A spouse in prison
- Winning a battle against cancer
- Recent widowhood
- Loss of a limb
- Struggles with addiction
For everyone that I knew their story, are many more whom I did not know their story.
Some of us live our stories in front of just a few, while many more live their story in front of many.
If you are a watcher of reality television, you know that many live their stories on a weekly basis for the world to view.
However, it’s all about how we live our story both in private and in public.
Psalm 145:14 says, “The Lord upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down.”
often more people observe our walk when we are in the valley than we ever realize
As we live our story, do we live a story of faith in God. This should be through both the trails of our life and when we are on the mountaintop.
I was reminded that we all have a story to tell. Often, it’s taking the time to look past the cover of the book and folding back the pages to uncover that story.
